Tuesday, September 17 - Impeach Kavanaugh / Make Art for Climate Strike / Youth Climate Strike

Actions You Can Take Today

Action 1: Call on Congress to Impeach Brett Kavanaugh

In October 2018, Brett Kavanaugh’s lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court of the United States was hustled through the U.S. Senate in one of the most corrupt confirmation processes in history. Despite numerous credible sexual assault and harassment allegations made against him, by Christine Blasey Ford and other women, Kavanaugh was confirmed hastily and without a full investigation. This was appalling, abhorrent, and unacceptable -- and still is.

Recently, new reporting has corroborated accounts of some of the worst allegations against Kavanaugh, who should never have been confirmed in the first place. Make no mistake: Brett Kavanaugh is unfit to serve on our nation’s highest court. Period. And this new evidence is an important moment for us to make sure our elected officials know that it’s not too late to take action.

Call your member of Congress (MoC) and urge them to publicly call for Kavanaugh’s impeachment.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code] and a member of Indivisible. I'm calling Representative/Senator [NAME] to urge them to publicly support impeachment proceedings against Justice Brett Kavanaugh immediately. While Kavanaugh should never have been confirmed, recently corroborated allegations against Kavanaugh further demonstrate that he is unfit to serve on the Supreme Court.
