Action 2: Record and Share a Defund Hate Video
The Trump administration has been terrorizing immigrant communities, attacking families, and assaulting basic human rights by utilizing the force of agencies like DHS, ICE, and CBP. To make matters worse, 129 Democrats recently voted to give millions of dollars to ICE--an already bloated agency with billions of dollars in its budget--to further enforce its ant-immigration agenda. Every dollar ICE receives can be used to expand the atrocities experienced at the border as there is no oversight and no safeguards. That's why we must demand that Congress cut the 2020 Department of Homeland Security Budget by the September 30th deadline.
The time to act is now: Record and share a video telling your member of Congress to commit to cut funding for ICE and CBP, and get rid of the slush fund that will allow these agencies to continue terrorizing immigration communities by September 30th.
