Indivisible Chicago’s Operation Light Mischief

On July 3, 2019, Indivisible Chicago responded to Trump’s ego-boosting military parade by shining a light — all over the city — on his transgressions. This photo gallery captures the evening’s events.

Action 1: ICE and CBP Abuse Tracker

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) atrocities grow by the day. United We Dream has just unveiled an ICE and CBP Tracker to ensure that all of the horrible things they have done are tracked, catalogued and documented so that their victims are never forgotten and so that we build a foundation for accountability and justice.

As you scroll down through the seemingly endless abuses, you will see some disturbing stuff which may be hard to read. But it is important that we recognize the reality of the suffering that our tax dollars pay for and why we must stop funding this abuse.

Congress is debating whether they will again give Trump more money for the Deportation Force and we need more people to tell them NO and to know the reasons why.

On the tracker page you’ll find resources to fight back and even a sticker that you can order to let the people around you know that you will resist deportations.

If you have more information on ICE & CBP abuse, please report it to the MigraWatch Hotline at 1-844-363-1423.

Action 3: Invite Your Friends to the Rally to End Criminalization, Detention & Deportations on 7/13

As immigrant families in Chicagoland live in fear that ICE raids will tear their families apart, and children and families are being detained in horrendous and unthinkable conditions at the border, we in Illinois are standing with these communities and sending a message of welcome and support.

Indivisible Chicago, Indivisible Oak Park, lIlinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, and PASO - West Suburban Action Project are calling on residents to gather on Saturday, July 13 to protest this administration’s inhumane, ruthless treatment of immigrants.

We’ve seen the Department of Justice argue in court that the U.S. Government isn’t required to provide toothbrushes or soap to children in its custody. We’ve seen Trump threaten to arrest millions of immigrants in nationwide raids. We’ve seen family separations continue. It’s time to stand up and say ENOUGH. Join us downtown on Saturday, July 13 and make your voice heard.

If you know any MDs, EMSs, RNs, etc. who might want to volunteer for the medical team, email info@indivisiblechicago.com.

When: Saturday, July 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Daley Center Plaza (50 W Washington St.)
