Action 1: Demand the House Open Impeachment Inquiry
Since (now-former) Special Counsel Robert Mueller released his team’s final report in late April, the Trump administration has aggressively moved to mislead the American people about the report’s central findings: the Russian government interfered in the 2016 US elections, and Mueller’s team could not clear Donald Trump of crimes related to this effort. In a surprise press conference on May 29, Mueller reiterated that the Department of Justice prevents criminal prosecution of a sitting President and stated, “If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.” Mueller made it clear that it now falls to Congress to review the report and its findings and act accordingly.
Despite Trump’s frequent claims of innocence, his team has repeatedly and brazenly refused to comply with document requests and subpoenas from members of Congress and courts. The Mueller report’s alarming findings make it clear that Congress must continue to investigate the Trump administration’s potential collaboration with Russia. Given the Trump administration’s obstruction, the House Judiciary Committee must open an impeachment inquiry of Trump.
Demand that your representative call for an impeachment inquiry to assess whether the conclusions Mueller reached are impeachable offenses.
Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code] and a member of Indivisible. I'm calling to express my extreme concern that the federal government is on the eve of a constitutional crisis because the Trump administration continues to brazenly defy Congressional oversight. The Mueller report's findings on obstruction and his subsequent statement were clear: it is time for Congress to act. The House of Representatives must now begin an impeachment inquiry into President Trump's serious and troubling conduct.

Action 2: Phonebanking and Debate Watch Parties 7/30-31
Is it a phone bank? A debate watch? A party? Yes! In fact it’s the Wisconsin Phone Bank Debate Watch Party on Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31.
Blue Beginning and Indivisible Chicago are working with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin to contact people who have volunteered for them in the past. We’ll be inviting these folks to attend parties in their home counties, where WisDems will reconnect with them and preview their plans for 2020. As you know, Wisconsin is probably the most important state on the electoral map. This is the first of many projects we’ll be undertaking to help our neighbors win there.
