Monday, June 24 - Know Your Rights / How to Protect Our Communities / Indivisible Chicago Podcast

Actions You Can Take Today

Action 1: Share ICE Raid Preparedness Resources

This weekend, Trump struck fear into immigrant communities that are already under attack by announcing and then calling off ICE raids in communities across the country--including Chicago. Lori Lightfoot has ended Chicago Police cooperation with ICE, which is a good start, but it’s important that Chicagoans know their rights during any encounter with ICE.

Regardless of immigration status, every person has guaranteed rights under the Constitution. Learn more here about immigrant rights from the ACLU and how to express them.

Additionally, Indivisible’s immigration partners have put together a document that contains extensive Know Your Rights materials, as well as ways of finding legal support. Please share these resources widely.

If you observe any ICE activity, please call the United We Dream MigraWatch Hotline at 1-844-363-1423 or use the Notifica App.
