Action 1: Tell Congress to End US Involvement in the Yemen War
Since March 2015, the United States has supported the Saudi-led coalition's military intervention in Yemen, assisting with targeting, sharing intelligence and selling arms. The conflict has also caused a catastrophic humanitarian crisis.
In Yemen today, with a population of 28 million, an estimated 15.9 million Yemenis are on the brink of famine due to food shortages caused by the war and military blockades. It is also estimated that at least 85,000 children have already died since the beginning of the war, succumbing to starvation and disease.
Even though both the House and the Senate passed bills to end US involvement in the war, Trump has vetoed the legislation. Now, it’s up to Congress to override the veto.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code] and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling today in support of S.J. Resolution 7 to end all U.S. assistance for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. Now that Trump has vetoed the resolution, I expect Congress to override his veto. Congress never authorized this war and we should not be involved.Thank you for time and attention.

Action 3: Support the Reproductive Health Act for IL
Despite electing the biggest pro-choice majority in Illinois in 2018, some Illinois representatives are refusing to protect the women of Illinois by passing the Reproductive Health Act (RHA).
Most Illinois voters—and even many activists—haven’t heard about this crucial legislation yet. The power to pass the RHA is in our hands. We can’t let it slip through the cracks.
If we don’t pass the Reproductive Health Act (RHA) and Roe v. Wade falls, Illinois women would be left vulnerable to the policies of anti-choice extremists like Donald Trump.
Can you sign the petition and share on social media to raise awareness of the RHA? We must let Illinois residents know that women’s health is on the line in our state.
