Action 1: Say That You Stand With Illhan
Donald Trump, the New York Post, Fox News, and Republicans continue their attacks on Rep. Ilhan Omar. Democrats must speak out and call for an end to this dangerous incitement, which has already lead to an increase in death threats on Illhan’s life.
Denounce the hateful threats and Islamophobia directed towards Rep. Ilhan Omar and demand that your members of Congress publicly speak out against these horrific attacks.

Action 2: Tell Your MoCs to Co-Sponsor the No Ban Act
Family separations happen every day in the U.S. -- not just at the border.
One of Trump’s first acts when he took office was to issue a Muslim Ban preventing individuals from 7 predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U.S. Trump has since imposed a separate “asylum ban” that would prevent asylum seekers from claiming their legal right at the U.S. border.
Democrats have introduced a series of bills that would undo some of the damage to immigrant, refugee, and Muslim communities and provide relief for those at risk of deportation. Read more here.
Tell your MoC to co-sponsor the No Ban Act today!

Action 3: Stamp Money Out of Politics on 4/20
So many problems in our society can be traced back to money in politics, and the outsize influence that lobbyists have on our politicians.
Inaction on climate change, the prevalence of voter suppression, our continued involvement in wars around the world, tax cuts for the 1%, the lack of comprehensive gun reform--all of these have the same root cause: money in politics.
But that doesn't have to be the case! The Stamp Money Out of Politics Event will show you one way to be part of the solution. By joining over 100,000 people all across the country who are stamping their cash, you will become part of a people-powered grassroots campaign that can change how our elections are funded and how big moneyed groups influence government policies at the expense of “We the People.”
The goal of stamping paper currency is to get these anti-big-money and pro-voting rights messages stamped on your bills to be seen by as many people as possible. All attendees will receive their very own stamp to take home! Food and drink will be provided.
When: Saturday, April 20 from noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Irish American Heritage Center (4626 North Knox Avenue)
