Action 1: Save The Date for The Indivisible Chicago Summit on 3/11

On Sunday, March 11th, we will have the first all-Chicago Indivisible meeting in over a year! We will gather together to re-energize, re-engage, and re-orient towards taking back the House and Senate in 2018. We will hear from the leaders in progressive, grassroots election organizing and find out how Indivisible Chicago can take action and take back Congress.

We will win in 2018. We will finally have a real check on the executive branch. And you can make a difference.

Speakers include:

So save the date for March 11th, and tell a friend! You won't just be a part of a wave election, you'll be part of a tsunami!

Action 2: Phone Bank for the Dream Act This Week

We have TWO WEEKS left to pass the Dream Act, and Congress must act now.

It is urgent that we organize and mobilize our community; including students, parents, teachers, and allies to phone bank for DACA recipients. Our representatives need to hear our loud and clear message that they are here to stay and that we need a clean Dream Act to pass NOW!

Join us for three sessions of phone banking this week to call registered voters and urge them to contact their representatives about the Dream Act!

  • TODAY from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m at Democratic Party of Oak Park, 6941-A W. North Ave., Oak Park, IL

  • Tuesday, January 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 3422 W Maple St, Evergreen Park, IL

  • Wednesday, January 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St Anthony's Wellness Center, 2826 West Cermak Rd

Please bring your cell phone and headphones and if possible, a laptop/tablet (this makes it easier to read the call script). Charging cables or extra battery packs are recommended!

Action 3: Listen to the Latest Episode of the Indivisible Chicago Podcast

Every Sunday, Indivisible Chicago members Tom Moss and Dan Nelson release a new episode of the Indivisible Chicago Podcast. It’s a great way to keep up with the latest news about the Indivisible movement on a local level and to stay plugged in to upcoming efforts around the city.

This week, host Tom Moss and guest co-host Kirk Robinson tackle what it means to create art in the age of Trump. How do artists reflect their times? American Theater Company artistic director Will Davis and About Face Theatre artistic director Megan Carney join the conversation.

Give it a listen here, and subscribe via iTunes to follow along with new episodes.
