Tools You Can Use

Action 1: Attend the DACA Decision Panel on Saturday

Join Protection for All Movement and Indivisible for a panel discussion led by DACA Recipients on Saturday. We will discuss the impact the political turmoil around the Dream Act has had on our friends, families, and neighbors. An unrealized Dream Act has the potential to tear apart families and see our neighbors deported, so the time is now to take action.

Connect with members of your community and learn what actions you can take to fight for undocumented communities and help push for the passage of the DREAM Act and protection for all.

RSVP to attend the panel discussion - The DACA Decision and our Neighbors: Seeking Protection For All on Saturday, February 3 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at Amundson High School (5110 N Damen Ave).

Action 2: Cook County Assessor Candidate Roundtable on Monday

Join us as at the Irish American Heritage Center's pub as we learn more about the Cook County Assessor position from the candidates. You’ll also get insight into how this often-overlooked position directly impacts our pocketbooks, school funding, and even our state politics.

Come prepared with your questions, and stick around afterward to have a pint with your fellow neighbors, resisters, and candidates.

Attend the Cook County Assessor Candidate Roundtable on Monday, February 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Fifth Province at the Irish American Heritage Center (4626 N Knox Ave.). Get your free ticket here, and share the event on Facebook.

Action 3: Phone Bank for IL Congressional District 3 on Tuesday

Marie Newman is challenging Congressman Dan Lipinski in the primary for Illinois’ third Congressional district. Lipinski has a strong anti-woman and anti-LGBTQ record. He voted against ACA, voted to defund Planned Parenthood, and rejected a $15 minimum wage. Lipinski has a lot more in common with the GOP than he does with the Democratic party, and it’s time to replace him with someone who represents progressive values.

Marie Newman is that candidate. Newman has been endorsed by NARAL and two sitting members of Congress from Illinois. She can win, but she needs our help.

Can you phone bank for Marie Newman? Join us on Tuesday, February 6 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 5301 N Clark St., Second Floor. RSVP here, and share the event on Facebook.
