Action 1: Tell Congress - No Money for Trump’s Wall
We’re now officially in another Trump Shutdown. As expected, the Senate rejected the House bill containing nearly $6B for Trump’s border wall. McConnell didn’t even let them vote on the bill since it had no chance of passing. That means we’re now in a shutdown caused entirely by Trump’s childish demands for his border wall. Remember, the Senate has already passed a clean funding bill that would fund the government until Feb. 8, thereby averting a shutdown. That bill would pass the House, if Trump would allow it to move forward.
What you can do now. It’s unlikely that MoC’s offices will be open over the next few days, but if they are, please call them and thank them for standing up to Trump’s racist, harmful demands. Tell them that you have their back and to stand strong against any border wall funding.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code] and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to ask [MoC] to keep standing strong against Trump’s racist and xenophobic wall. I want the government to reopen, but don’t want my tax dollars going to expand Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda. Thank you.
