Thursday, December 20 - Pressure Bradley Schneider to Support Net Neutrality

Action You Can Take Today

Call on your member of Congress to pressure Rep. Bradley Schneider (IL-10) to support Net Neutrality

Stop Bradley Schneider from Blocking Net Neutrality

This May, the Senate voted to preserve net neutrality. That resolution was then sent to the House, and the Democrats introduced a discharge petition, which, if it gets 218 signatures, will force the House to vote on the resolution even without the recommendation of a committee. The Dems have until TOMORROW to get 218 signatures, which would require every Democrat and a few Republicans. So far, they have 177 signatures.

There is only ONE Illinois Democrat who has not yet signed on. One who has taken $66,151 in “campaign donations” from big internet service providers. His name is Bradley Schneider.

If you live in IL-10, call on your rep, Bradley Schneider, to put his constituents ahead of corporate donations and sign onto this bill. If you don’t, ask your rep to put pressure on Schneider to do the right thing and support Net Neutrality.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code] and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling because Representative Bradley Schneider from IL-10 is the only Illinois Democrat who has not signed onto the Net Neutrality Bill. I know that [MoC] supports the bill and I thank them for it, but would like to ask [MoC] to do whatever they can to convince Schneider to put his constituents ahead of his corporate donors and support this bill before tomorrow’s deadline. This is our last chance to save Net Neutrality this year. Thank you.
