Action 1: TOMORROW - Fight for $15 Unions for All Rally

On Tuesday Amazon.com announced that it will pay all of its workers $15 an hour. This came after months of grassroots activism and just a month after members of congress introduced a bill targeting the company. These actions were widely mocked - but are now proven to work.

This week, Thousands of service industry workers are on strike all across the country to demand unions. Join us in Chicago on Thursday as fast food workers strike for union rights. This is the first strike the Fight for $15 movement is holding specifically to focus on union rights and the importance of unions. You’ll be joining a global week of strikes and rallies with airport, child care, hospital, adjunct professors, and other low wage workers.

This will kick off a month of canvasses leading up to election day. The strikes and canvasses follow a blitz of town halls and roundtable meetings workers in the Fight for $15 have held in 17 cities this year with members of Congress and state and local elected leaders focused on the need for lawmakers to make it easier for workers to organize in unions. Come out and show your support!
