Wednesday, October 10 - March to the Polls / Postcard Posse

Actions You Can Take Today

Action 1: March to the Polls Rally on 10/13

We're heading to Grant Park again on Saturday, October 13 for another rally and march in Grant Park to celebrate new voters and fire up thousands more to #MarchToThePolls for the 2018 elections.

The rally areas, including the Voter Village and First Time Voter Experience open at 9 a.m. This rally will be 'festival style' with a bustling hub of booths in the Voter Village and performers and speakers on the main stage. The day will culminate with a literal march to the polls where Chicago and Cook County voters can cast ballots at the downtown early voting sites.

Indivisible Chicago is a co-sponsor and we will have a table in the Voter Village. Not only would we love to see you there, we would love your help signing up canvassers. Sign up here for a volunteer shift at the March.

Action 2: Postcard Posse League Nights

Indivisible Chicago’s Postcard Posse League is writing postcards to voters ahead of the midterms. Join in and write to win prizes and, more importantly, help elect people who share your values! We will count up postcards for each team and keep the standings. We are down to our last 700 postcards! Come down and help us finish strong.

We will be writing postcards to voters who share our values and voted in 2016, but did not vote in 2014. We are going to turn them out for the midterms! We will be writing postcards to Sean Casten's district (IL-6), Lauren Underwood's (IL-14), and others.

It does not cost anything to enter--just your time, effort, and hand cramps. Postcards will be provided, and we will cover the postage for postcards filled out during league events.

Get more information and sign up for Postcard Posse updates, and plan to attend an upcoming league night -- multiple nights per week from now until the election!

If you don't want to write postcards, but still want to help, you can donate to help cover the cost of postage. 100 postcards will require $35 in postage, so every dollar helps!
