ACA repeal vote today

By the time this action hits your inbox, the vote to repeal ACA and replace it with it's ugly cousin will almost certainly be happening. But that doesn't mean that it's time to stop. First off, they may not have the votes, so don't despair. They are pushing a vote but nothing is certain. That being said, they probably have the votes. Party tends to take precedence over humanity. But the bill will still have to pass the Senate where it is much more likely to do so.

What we need to do is show the political pain that comes from passing a bill like this. So keep the pressure on until the vote is done, and then switch to hitting back hard at any who voted for this measure. The Senate needs to see that their life will be miserable if they vote for this bill. See this thread on Twitter:

So, we get back to social media pressure for those of us in Chicago. You can tweet at Peter Roskam at @PeterRoskam and let him know that he's siding with tax cuts over people. Once the vote is done, call your Rep and thank them for voting yes and let them know how upset you are that the vote passed, if it does. And finally, keep an eye out on social media for protests if this bill passes.

I know it's frustrating, but it hasn't passed the Senate yet (technically hasn't passed the House yet, as of my typing) and need to make sure it dies there. Here are some images below from Moveon.org.
