Call about HRes186 to Release Trump's taxes

Last night on Rachel Maddow, it looked suspiciously like Donald Trump leaked his own 1040 tax form in order to change the subject from all the Russian madness. It was a pretty useless form and showed Trump to have made a lot of money and a reasonable amount of taxes. But no matter who released it, it doesn't matter.

The fact is, even if that tax form release thing was some sort of weird smokescreen, the taxes are still a legitimate issue and they tie in with the Russia issue. We need his taxes in order to know if he has ties through real estate or other debt to influential Russians. That why we will march on April 15th with the Tax March on Chicago and demand his taxes. And that's why we need to call about HRes186.

From the Indivisible team:

On March 9th, 2017, Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) introduced House Resolution 186 (H.Res 186), a “Resolution of Inquiry” to direct Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin to provide to the House of Representatives ten years of President Trump’s tax returns along with other information on his financial dealings. Disclosure of these documents will provide vital information as Congress and the American public try to untangle the Trump Administration’s connections to Russia.

Here is a list of co-sponsors to this resolution. Currently only Danny Davis and Luis Gutierrez sponsor this, so call and thank them for sponsoring this bill and ask them to keep pushing to see Trump's taxes.

If your Representative has not sponsored the resolution, give him or her a call and ask him or her to lend support by sponsoring it (check the link above before calling in case it is updated).

Script: Hello, my name is ____________ and I'm a constituent of Congressman/woman ___________. I'm calling to ask the Congressman/woman to co-sponsor House Resolution 186, requiring the release of the president's tax returns. It's important that we know what potential ties the Trump administration has with foreign governments.
