Friday, March 10th - Speak out against Scott Pruitt's lies

Ask the Senators to speak out against Scott Pruitt

Yesterday, Scott Pruitt stated that he does not believe that carbon dioxide is a primary contributor to global warming.

"I think that measuring with precision human activity on the climate is something very challenging to do and there's tremendous disagreement about the degree of impact, so no, I would not agree that it's a primary contributor to the global warming that we see," he told CNBC's "Squawk Box."

However, under oath during his confirmation hearing he said

"I do not believe climate change is a hoax," Pruitt said.

"Science tells us the climate is changing and human activity in some manner impacts that change," Pruitt told the panel. "The ability to measure the precision, degree and extent of the impact and what to do about that are subject to continued debate and dialogue."

So which is it? You can't accept that humans have an impact on climate change but not believe carbon dioxide is a contributing factor. Call and tell Senators Duckworth and Durbin to speak out against this statement and Pruitt's lie.

Script: Hello, my name is __________ and I'm a constituent of Senator __________. I'm calling to ask the Senator to speak out on Scott Pruitt's statement that carbon dioxide is not a contributor to global warming. This is settled science and it is unacceptable that the head of the EPA would deny this.

Senator Durbin - 312-353-4952

Senator Duckworth - 312-886-3506
