Action 1: Thank Senator Durbin for taking the DREAMer Pledge

On September 5, Trump announced the termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This Obama-era program provides relief from deportation for an estimated 800,000 young immigrants. Because Trump terminated DACA, over 10,000 Dreamers are estimated to have already lost their protections, and nearly 1,000 more will lose DACA each week and become vulnerable to Trump’s deportation force.

There is bipartisan support for the Dream Act in both the Senate and House. And the bill enjoys massive support from the American public. Now that Donald Trump has yanked protection away from immigrant youth, it is now up to Congress to take action. Every day that goes by is a day in which the lives of immigrant youth remain at risk.

Senator Durbin, one of the cosponsors of the Dream Act, reconfirmed his commitment to DREAMers yesterday. The pledge states that Senators will only commit to vote on a government spending bill that has the Dream Act attached. Call Senator Durbin and thank him for standing up for our values

I'm calling to thank Senator Durbin for committing to vote against a spending bill that does not include protections for DREAMers. Please push your colleagues to do the same, and use whatever tools available to force the issue.

Action 2: Tell Senator Duckworth to stand with DREAMers

Because Trump terminated DACA, over 10,000 Dreamers are estimated to have already lost their protections, and nearly 1,000 more will lose DACA each week and become vulnerable to Trump’s deportation force.

Numerous Democrats in the US House and Senate have taken the Dreamer Pledge. The pledge states that Senators will only commit to vote on a spending bill that has the Dream Act attached. Call Senator Duckworth and ask her to join Senator Durbin and her fellow democrats: a vote on spending without the Dream Act is a vote to deport Dreamers

Call Senator Duckworth | DC: 202-224-2854 | Chicago 312-886-3506

Script: Hello! My name is [name] and I’m calling from [zip code]. Because Trump terminated DACA, over 10,000 Dreamers are estimated to have already lost their protections, and nearly 1,000 more will lose DACA each week and become vulnerable to Trump’s deportation force. For those young people and their families, this is an emergency, and we must take this opportunity to protect them by passing a clean Dream Act. Any spending bill without the Dream Act is a vote to deport Dreamers.

Action 3: Sign up to Repeal the Trump Tax

Republicans are sending the most unpopular piece of legislation in modern history to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

They ignored the hundreds of rallies, millions of calls, and countless emails, tweets, and polls showing just how much the American people hated this bill -- which only had a 26% nationwide approval rating.

Over and over this year, Republicans in Congress -- supported by Donald Trump and backed by their rich donors -- have voted to betray working families in their own states and districts.

We won’t let them get away with it -- we’ve come too far and too much is on the line.

We start now. Add your name to say Congress should repeal the TrumpTax:
