Action 1: Break the Internet for Net Neutrality TOMORROW

The FCC is about to vote to end net neutrality—breaking the fundamental principle of the open Internet—and only an avalanche of calls to Congress can stop it. So this Tuesday, December 12th, Break the Internet on your site, on Twitter, on Youtube or in whatever creative way you can, to get your audience to contact Congress. That’s how we win. Are you in?

Join the Twitter brigade or see other ways to Break the Internet tomorrow!

Action 2: Tell Governor Rauner That Coal Companies Shouldn't be Writing Our Clean Air Rules

Dynegy, a Houston-based coal plant operator and Illinois’ largest air polluter with nine active coal plants in Illinois, worked closely behind doors with Rauner’s Illinois Environmental Protection Agency over the last year to make significant changes to the “Multi-Pollutant Standard” (MPS).

Illinois’ MPS has been a cornerstone of air quality protection in Illinois, setting gradual reductions for nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and mercury (Hg) pollution from the Dynegy coal fleet. The proposed rewrite of the state’s multipollutant standard would lock in levels of dangerous sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide in perpetuity and allow Dynegy to create downstate pollution hotspots by burning more coal at its dirtiest, cheapest coal plants. According to an analysis conducted by the Chicago Tribune, the revised rule would allow a massive, fleet-wide tonnage cap on Dynegy’s sulfur and nitrogen oxide pollution, far exceeding current emissions of the fleet.

Contact Rauner through the Environmental Law and Policy Center to tell him that coal companies shouldn't be writing the Clean Air rules in Illinois, or call him in Springfield (217-782-0244) or Chicago (312-814-2121).

Script: Hi, I’m [name] from [zip code]. I am a member of Indivisible Chicago, and I'm calling to let Governor Rauner know that he should not allow Dynegy's proposed re-write of clean air standards to move forward. Clean air for Illinois residents is a higher priority than a company's profits!

Action 3: ACA Enrollment Ends Friday, December 15 - Get the Word Out

The Trump administration is making it very hard for people to get covered during this year's ACA open enrollment by cutting the enrollment period in half, moving the enrollment deadline, and slashing 90% of the dollars used to get out the word about the program.

To counter this sabotage, a group of healthcare experts has launched a new initiative called Get America Covered, whose goal is to help people enroll on Obamacare’s individual markets. The website provides people with the information and tools they need to take advantage of the law and its subsidies before the short enrollment window closes.

Here’s how you can help get the word out about the open enrollment period, which ends THIS FRIDAY, December 15:
