Action 1: TONIGHT - Attend Tax Reform Panel

The #TrumpTaxScam continues to make its way through Congress, threatening healthcare benefits and social services for millions of Americans. Tonight, Indivisible Lincoln Square is hosting a panel discussion to educate citizens about the harmful components of this bill.

Join panelists Robert Ginsburg, from the Urban Transportation Center and UIC; John McCarron, Chicago Tribune columnist; and Michel Wenz, Professor of Economics at NEIU. There will be ample time for questions from the audience.

RSVP for the panel discussion on Wednesday, November 8 at Sultzer Library (4455 North Lincoln Avenue) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Action 2: Phone Bank for ACA Signups All Month

The 2018 ACA Open Enrollment dates are November 1 - December 15, 2017. Trump has not only shortened the window to enroll; he has also slashed the advertising budget by 90%. We need to get the word out to people to sign up for 2018 coverage.

That’s why Indivisible Illinois is setting up phone banks to notify folks about the enrollment dates to make sure as many people as possible sign up for healthcare in 2018. RSVP to phone bank here and follow the event on Facebook for updates on upcoming phone bank session.

Action 3: Show Up to Fight Voter Suppression on 11/15

Join Indivisible Chicago to fill the room at the State Senate Telecom and InfoTech Committee Hearing, which is looking into Illinois' participation in the Crosscheck program and the massive security failures that Indivisible Chicago has brought to light. Crosscheck is a discriminatory system used to purge voters and promote voter suppression laws in our neighboring states. Read more on our new website.

The Committee has called representatives from the State Board of Elections to testify as well as industry cybersecurity experts and members of the Indivisible Chicago team. Join us and show your support!

WHEN: Wednesday, November 15 at noon
