Tuesday, January 24th - Senator Visit
Today, 3:30 pm: Office Visit at Senators Durbin and Duckworth
230 S. Dearborn (the Federal Building)
Hosted by MoveOn.org, we are joining up with them to call on Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth to fight against Trump's swamp cabinet with every fiber of their being. We will meet downtown at 3:30. Bring a sign and your voice. Ideas for messages:
Say No to the Swamp Cabinet
Gum up Trumps Plans
Throw a Wrench in Trumps Plans
Be Trump's Kryptonite (obscure 3 Doors down reference)
Be a Super Senator/Stop the Swamp
Things like that. Throw a little Indivisible Chicago in there for good measure. RSVP for the event here. Search using zip code 60602. You can let us at Indivisible Chicago know you're going here.
Here's a message from organizer Will Tanzman:
Thanks for signing up for our "Stop Trump's Swamp Cabinet" action tomorrow! I'm excited to be part of the next stage of resistance after Saturday's amazing marches all over the world! We'll be meeting tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in front of the Federal Building at 230 S. Dearborn, and we'll do a brief rally there calling on Senators Durbin and Duckworth to do everything they can to block Trump's cabinet and agenda. Then, around 4 PM, we'll march over to Goldman Sachs, 71 S. Wacker, to call out Trump for acting as a puppet for Goldman Sachs and other large corporations who will benefit from the repeal of ACA and the rest of Trump's agenda. A bus will be available for those who are not able to walk.
See you tomorrow,
I look forward to see you all out there. This is what we signed up for. It's time.
