Chicago Tribune: Anti-Trump 'March for Truth' protest draws hundreds to Federal Plaza

Hundreds of people crowded into Federal Plaza on Saturday, many carrying signs calling for a broader investigation into allegations of collusion between President Donald Trump and the Russians.

Organizers estimated about 2,000 people attended the midday march and rally, and police did not release an estimate.

Hannah Langhoff came in from Valparaiso, Ind., for the event, saying she hopes images of large crowds at simultaneous events around the country will convince Republican members of Congress that it's in their political self-interest to support the creation of an independent commission to look into the Russian question.

"If there is a large show of resistance, hopefully Republican lawmakers will take note and will be more willing to listen instead of putting their party first," Langhoff said.
