October 3 rally features members of Second City, Annoyance, iO theaters

BLUE WAVE RAVE BIOS

TJ SHANOFF (Director/Musical Director/Co-Producer) has served as a writer, director, musical director, host/emcee, and producer for nearly twenty years. T.J.’s recent project, Blank! The Musical (co-creator/director), opened to rave reviews Off-Broadway at New World Stages in NYC. Longtime director and music director at The Second City, TJ was co-creator, Rod Blagojevich Superstar and Rush Limbaugh! The Musical with writing partner Eddie Furman. 

LAURA HUM (stage manager) The Second City credits include “Fantastic Great Super Nation Numero Uno,” “A Red Line Runs Through It,” and “Soul Brother, Where Art Thou?” She’s a proud alumna of The Ohio State University and The Second City Touring Company.

MARK BURNS (co-producer) is a Creative Project Manager at Second City Works, where he produces custom events, training & marketing videos, live learning engagements and consumer insights sessions. 

BLUE WAVE RAVE CAST

ATRA ASDOU is half of the improv/sketch duo, The Perm. She has performed with The Paper Machete and Whirled News Late Night Edition, been seen as Lil’Tooties with iO Chicago and was a member of the Second City Touring Company.

BROOKE BREIT has performed at iO Chicago in Whirled News Tonight and The Annoyance in Love is Dead and A Woman’s Path. With the Second City Touring Company, she has been seen at Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, DC and Center Stage in Baltimore.

KATIE CAUSSIN recently appeared in Second City’s Twist Your Dickens at the Goodman Theatre. She’s been seen in Second City’s National Touring Company and its USO show in the Balkans. A Chicago actor for 20+ years, she performed at both iO Chicago and Annoyance.

SAYJAL JOSHI has appeared at Second City’s e.t.c. stage as well as the Second City Touring Company. She has performed at the Kennedy Center, Goodman Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, iO, The Annoyance Theatre and the Asian-American ensemble, Stir-Friday Night.

KATIE KLEIN works with Second City Works and iO and performs weekly with her pals in The Late 90s, Virgin Daiquiri and Superhuman. She wrote and performed in Second City’s e.t.c. show, A Red Line Runs Through It.

ANDREW KNOX is an ensemble member of Second City’s 41st revue, Fantastic Great Super Nation Numero Uno. He is also a Second City Touring Company alum, and a member of the Improvised Shakespeare Company.

LORI McCLAIN performed with Second City on the mainstage, in its touring company and in Iraq for U.S. troops as part of a Second City USO Tour. Other improv credits include Sirens, ComedySportz and Whose Chorus Line is it Anyway?

ABBY McENANY has been seen at the Second City Touring Company, s well as at iO Chicago in the all women ensemble, Virgin Daiquiri. She is known for her solo show, Work in Progress, as well as Tello Films’ Roomies.

LIZ JOYNT SANDBERG performs regularly with The Improvised Sondheim Project, ComedySportz, Baby Wants Candy, Perennials and the Musical Armando at iO Chicago. She is a faculty member at The Second City Training Center, teaching writing and improv.

DANA QUERCIOLI was a member of The Second City Cleveland Mainstage, and is an alumna of the Second City Touring Company. She also performs with Virgin Daiquiri and the Armando Diaz Theatrical Experience and Hootenanny at the iO Theater in Chicago.

LAUREN WALKER is a member of the Second City Touring Company and can be seen performing solo material and improv with the team, Young and Old, at Flat Iron Comedy. In 2015, she co-founded The Crowd Theater, where she hosts a variety show.
